What Are Seller Concessions? Russell Rogan Quicken Loans

Posted: 14 Apr 2011 07:20 AM PDT

Hi, my name is Russell Rogan, I’m a President’s Club Banker here and Quicken Loans and today I’m going to talk a little bit about seller Concessions. Seller Concessions is a term that’s widely used in a purchase transaction, where a buyer and the seller set a side a certain portion of the purchase agreement to cover the buyer’s out-of-pocket expenses like closing costs, tax prorations, pre-pays, escrow – anything other than the down payment. Many buyers don’t realize that you have to come out of pocket with more than just the down payment. For example, using FHA financing on a 0000 purchase, you’ll have to come up with 00 for the down payment, but may end up coming out of pocket with 000 for everything else. So sellers concessions is a way you can keep funds in the buyer’s account, you don’t have to come out of pocket and drain your assets, and you can use it for other things like moving expenses, throwing a party at your new house, and just setting aside for a rainy day fund. So hopefully this was a helpful little tip in terms of getting seller concessions when buying a new home. If you have any other questions please give us a call and we’ll help you through the home buying process today.

How do I work with a car insurance injury claim?

Posted: 13 Apr 2011 09:49 PM PDT

I was a victim of a rear-end accident and was in Chiropractic therapy for a handful of months.
(neck & back pain)
Insurance has paid for all the medical and work-time lost.
Now 9 months later, the insurance company wants to pay me to settle/end my case.
My neck seems fine, but stiffness at random days. (treatment is over)

Should I take the settlement money?
If so, what is the normal amount usually given for something like this?
